OPPORTUNITY

Sunny is seeking a UAT Analyst to support ongoing product releases and client implementations through structured testing, validation, and quality assurance processes.

This role will be responsible for executing user acceptance testing across both continuous feature releases and larger client launches, while contributing to the evolution of Sunny’s overall testing practices.

The analyst will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure that all functionality is tested from an end-user perspective and meets expected requirements prior to release.

This is a hands-on role focused on improving product quality, reducing post-release defects, and strengthening the overall testing discipline at Sunny. This role will work closely with the UAT Lead and is expected to grow into taking ownership of specific areas of testing over time

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

User Acceptance Testing Execution

• Write, maintain, and execute test cases based on user stories and product requirements
• Perform regression testing for existing functionality and validation for new feature releases
• Execute testing cycles across web and mobile environments
• Ensure all testing is performed from an end-user perspective, validating real-world usability
• Validate end-to-end business workflows and critical user journeys

Release Support and Test Planning

• Support continuous testing for ongoing feature releases throughout the year
• Contribute to larger UAT cycles tied to new client launches and implementations
• Contibute to developing test strategies, scenarios, and documentation for upcoming releases
• Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure alignment on test coverage and expectations

Data Validation and Quality Assurance

• Support monthly validation processes tied to member funding and eligibility
• Review large data sets to confirm accuracy of member records and benefit distribution
• Utilize basic SQL queries to extract and validate data where needed
• Partner with Product and QA teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of testing outputs

Defect Management and Process Improvement

• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Partner with Engineering and QA to ensure timely resolution of issues
• Help improve testing processes, documentation, and overall UAT discipline
• Contribute ideas for automation and efficiency improvements within testing workflows
• Support coordination of testing cycles across QA, UAT, and release readiness stages

Tools and Systems

• Work within tools such as Jira, TestRail, and Confluence to manage testing workflows
• Leverage tools (including AI-assisted tools where appropriate) to improve testing efficiency and documentation
• Maintain organized documentation of test cases, results, and defect tracking

Who You Are

• 2 to 5 years of experience in UAT, QA, or product testing role.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications
• Familiarity with writing and executing test cases and test scenarios
• Experience working with tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms
• Basic SQL knowledge or willingness to learn data querying for validation purposes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases and defects
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams
• Ability to think from an end-user perspective and validate real-world usage scenarios
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion

Preferred Experience

• Experience in healthcare, fintech, or regulated environments
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and release cycles
• Exposure to automation tools or AI-assisted testing workflows
